Private tasting with the Diploma Class and two MW's

1993 Diamond Creek, Volcanic Hill, Cabernet Sauvignon;
Bright ruby with garnet rim. Very fruit driven nose, some anis, hints of pepper, candy apples, cassis, coffe and leather. Very elegant and balanced, mature tannins, good acidity, some mint, a bit minerla behind, good finish. 91

1975 Ridge Montebello Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon;
Bright ruby, thin orange rim. Very mature, prunes, cassis, leather, coffee, white chocolate, cherries and some minerals. Lots of very ripe and mature tannins, very elegant at only 11,9% alcohol, kompleks, balanced, very long. 92 (Thanks to Arne)
