1999 Château Pontet-Canet;
Ruby, leather, blackcurrants, maturing Pauillac, hints of cedar and pencil, elegant and a bit on the lean side. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, nice length. I think in a difficult face now, more open a couple of years back. 90
