Lucien Le Moine 2010 tasting



The duo that forms Lucien le Moine, Mounir and Rotem Saouma, told me that if I was to write about their wines, I had to tell people that their wines need three to four hours of decanting before drinking. 

2010 Lucien Le Moine Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques:
Bright ruby. Scented, fruity and floral touch on the nose, intense. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant fruit, quite intense, richer style, long. 91

2010 Lucien Le Moine Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetieres:
Bright ruby. Scented. Strawberries, nuanced, floral, elegant and mi eraly nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant, pure and refined palate, lovely and long. 93

2010 Lucien Le Moine Corton Bressandes:
Bright ruby. Spicy, red berries and smoky notes on the nose. Fresh aidity, ripe tannns, fruity, elegant and textured, long. 92

2010 Lucien Le Moine Corton Renardes:
Cloudy light ruby. Scented, floral and redcurrants nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lively and refreshing, long. 93

2010 Lucien Le Moine Bonnes Mares:
Bright ruby. Scented, fruity and layered nose. Fresh aidity, ripe tannins, fruity, elegant, lively and long. Fruitier than most Bonnes Mares I've tasted. 94

2010 Lucien Le Moine Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Falatieres:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, lemons, minerals, fruity and smoky nose. Fresh acidity, fruity and rounder palate. Apples and some ywllow fruits, long. 93

2010 Lucien Le Moine Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne:
Pale lemon yellow. Lemons, minerals, cool and more focused nose, smoky touch. Fresh avidity, fruity, refreshing, playful, long and nuanced. 94

2010 Lucien Le Moine Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets:
Pale lemon yellow. Tighter and some oak on the nose, intense apples, citrus and bergamott. Fresh acidity, lively, fruity and refreshing, intense and long. 93
