1996 Louis Jadot Pommard Grands Épenots:
Ruby, thin
garnet rim, deep colour for Burgundy. Red berries, vanilla, touch of
blackberries, figs and spices, evolving. Not the most sexy Burgundy
nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresher palate, bit tight, starts out
rustic but ads fruit and body with air, never a full charmer, it was
still very good indeed. Perfect for a hotel room relaxation after some
really alcoholic and oaky wines. 90
