Mosel and Brunello

1999 Dr. Thanisch, Müller-Burggraef, Berncasteler Doctor, Riesling Kabinett;
Light golden, some petroleum, citrus, peach and exotic fruits, a bit tender. Fresh acidity, almost like chewing very ripe lemons, bitter apples and unripe peaches. A bit short length. 77

1998 Col d'Orcia, Brunello di Montalcino;
Deep ruby, dark for Sangiovese. Dark fruits, cherries, a bit warm fruits, anis and blueberries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, a bit seductive, plums, stone fruits, gets a bit acidic almost towards the end. Good length. 89
