1966 Château Léoville Barton

1966 Château Léoville Barton:
Mid shoulder fill only, soked cork that came out whole. Brilliant ruby with thin orange rim. Such a delicate nose. Some figs, leather, faint hint of tobacco, slightly scented, a violet whiff on top. Fresh acidity, tannins more or less polished off, again an almost tender, or at least soft texture, very elegant. Subdued and a freshness nerve to it, that is typical on todays wines as well from Léoville Barton. A wild strawberries finish. Truly excellent wine. 93
