2011 Niepoort Vintage Port:
Almost black. Ripe blackberries, intense, fruity, complex, I would even say dense nose, or compact. Fresh and lively acidity, ripe tannins, intense and ipe, again quite dense, fresh and fruity, still manages to be lively, very long. Together with the 03 that I have only tasted once, this must be the best vintage that Dirk have made so far. 95
2011 vintage port is one of the best vintage in the market and will join some of the other great vintages over the last century including 1912. 1931, 1945, 1948, 1955, 1963, 1970, 1977, 1985, 1992, 2000 and now 2011.
