Served blind. Ruby. Highly scented, strawberries, raspberries, light herbal note, pepper, some spices, vanilla, flirting like few. Stunning. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, firmer palate, detailed, lovely balance, bit firm now, youthful, very elegant, long. 94
1988 Château Latour
Served blind. Ruby, thin garnet rim. Highly scented, cassis, detailed, leather, tobacco, slightly starting prunes nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, lively, detailed, fairly rounded, detailed, long. 94
1998 Château Troplong Mondot
Served blind. Ruby, garnet rim. Scented, intense, slight alcohol note, vanilla still, spices, exotic, dark fruits, seemingly showy ripeness and alcohol. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lively, rich, a little bit all over the place now, but there is something quite exciting about it. 94
2001 Château La Tour Blanche
Towards amber, quite deep colour for the vintage. Rich nose, apricots, vanilla, raisins, pineapples, detailed and intense nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, rounded, ripe and detailed, fairly fresh but developed considering the last bottle one and a half years ago, long. 93

Golden with orange rim. Almonds, pineapples, caramel, vanilla, intense, rich nose, raisins. Fresh acidity, ripe and fruity, intense, detailed, almonds, marsipan, lovely balance, long. 95
