All five together for the tasting. Not an everyday sight!
Florence Rogers-Pinault represented Château Latour, showing 2008 and 2004.
2008 Château Latour;
Ruby, almost raw at the moment, cassis, still feels like a barrel sample. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, stunning balance, refinement starting to show on the palate, feels almost like some of the 2010's I have been tasting lately. Forget it for ten years. 95
2004 Château Latour;
Ruby, cassis, elegant and still powerful Pauillac. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, structured and refined texture, lively, elegant and complex flavours, long. Needs time. 94
