2008 Jean-Jacques Confuron Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots:
Bright ruby. Incredibly tight and almost green and rustic for
the first two hours before opening up into a slightly spicy,
strawberries and still a slightly herbal nose. Fresh acidity, ripe
tannins, fruity with air even if a bit lean, refreshing, a bit ungainly
and never loses that slight rustic touch, even so somewhat scented.
Long. 90
2001 Château Certan de May:
Ruby, towards garnet rim. Scented, blueberries, anise touch,
quite flirting and seductive even if it never quite reaches the hights
of a former bottle. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant fruit and
liveliness, refreshing, still somewhat raw and youthful, long. 92
1995 Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste:
Ruby, thin garnet rim. First very fruity in a Vinum Bordeaux
glass and I had to change to Vinum Chianti to find more typical Pauillac
aromas, at least from my point of view. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins,
fairly fruity still and younger feel than 95, lovely balance and quite
classic, long finish. 93
