Dark ruby, pepper, vel hung game, dark berries and some barrel notes. Great acidity, ripe tannins, fresh fruit, elegant shiraz, very long finish, will age. 91
1999 Perrier- Jouet Belle Epoque;
Pale lemon yellow, light nose of oxidized apples, nice acidity and mousse, lacks minerals, light fruit, yellow fruits, a bit simple, short finish. A bit simple. I have had some bad bottles lately of Belle Epoque, I think this was another one. 80
2008 F. X. Pichler, Dürnsteiner Kellerberg, Smaragd Riesling Trocken, Wachau;
Pale lemon yellow, very pure and fresh nose, apples, lemon and minerals. Great acidity, very elegant and balanced, clean fruit aromas, very youthfull. Will keep. 91
