All wines tasted blind, we knew Riesling and Germany only. Had to guess prices and region and quality level.
2012 Markus Molitor Riesling trocken:
I was in Rheinhessen, 2012. Pale lemon yellow. Apples, light yeasty
note, easy but fresh nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, some sweetness, quite
elegant, good balance and length. 84

I was in Rheinhessen, 2012. Pale lemon yellow, apples, light
minerals, yeasty, slight grapefruit and fruity nose. Fresh acidity,
fruity, quite elegant, leanish, somewhat bitter finish, good length.

I was in Rheinhessen or Nahe, 2012. Pale lemon yellow. Yeasty,
grapefruit, apples, flinty nose. Fresh acidity, lemons, fruity, lively,
minerals, fairly focused and elegant, long. 87
2012 Leitz Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg Riesling Spätlese trocken.
I was in Rheingau, 2011. Pale lemon yellow. Fruity, apples,
elegant, leanish nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, fairly lively, bit
easygoing. 86
2011 Künstler Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg Riesling Alte Reben trocken:
I was in Rheingau and Berg Rotland vineyard, 2012. Pale lemon
yellow. Apples, fruity, touch floral, minerals, slight flinty touch.
Fresh acidity, leaner, bit tight, focused, minerals and lively acidity,
good length. Slight bitter finish. 87
2012 Von Winning Paradiesgarten
2012 Pfalz from me. Paler lemon yellow. Lean, minerals, some
yellow fruits, green apples, yeasty touch, flint hint nose. Fresh and
high acidity, lively, fruity but lean, almost smoky, slight sweetness,
good length. 88
2009 Koehler-Ruprecht Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling Spätlese trocken R:
Nailed vintage, region, produser and Spätlese trocken. Towards
lemon yellow. Oxidized apples, minerals, flinty, marsipan, petroleum
hint, yeasty nose. Weirdish acidity, funky, mushrooms, a bit strange,
sweetish, good length. 86
