2003 Chateau Rauzan-Gassies;
Deep ruby, quite layered after some air, has this herbal, leafy notes, underneath, floral notes, and below hints of coffee together with blackcurrants. Again a much fresher 03 than expected, here the acidity is quite livelly, especially for a 03, a bit hollow mid palate, but lasts in the aftertaste, grippy tannins, I haven't had this estate in a while, and better both for vintage and producer than expected. The second 03 that hasn't been sweetish, are they drying up stylistically? 85
