Ruby. Fruity, spicy, ripe nose. Herbal notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruitypalate, fairly rounded, balanced, good length. 89

2012 Inniskillin Two vineyards Riesling:

Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, yellow fruity, subdued minerals nose. 

Freshish acidity, yellow fruity and slightly oxidative style, good length. 87

BU9977802 (530,-) Pale golden. Intense nose of apples and apricots. Not to complex, but intense and fruity, pure feel. Fresh acidity, playful and gorgeous, mouthwatering and superbly fresh finish. 92

2008 Inniskillin Cabernet Franc Icewine:
BU 9977902 (570,-) Pale ruby. Fresh and elegant nose, some red berries, pure feel, not too intense, more subdued and tender that suits it perfectly. Superb balance, long and almost cloying. 91

2008 Inniskillin Gold Vidal Icewine:
BU9978002 (480,-) Gold means barrel aged. Golden, floral, honey and apricots. Fresh acidity, elegant texture, mouthwatering and good length. 90

The wines from Inniskillin are not that complex, but they are so refreshing, vigorating and has a pure feel that just make you love them. And believe me, they give higher pleasure than indicated by my scores.

09 Closson Chase

2009 Closson Chase, Closson Chase Vineyards, Prince Edward County;
Pale lemon yellow, slight spritz, heavy nose, popcorn, smoke, butter, faint hint of citrus. Medium acidity, heavy body as well, alcohol burn on the finish. 85

2007 Foreign Affair Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine

2007 Foreign Affair, Bella Niagara Peninsula Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine;
Bright ruby, garnet rim, prunes, cooked strawberries, figs. Good acidity, a bit short and flat, light feel to it. 85

2006 Inniskillin Riesling Ice Wine;
Golden, tropical, honey, pineapple. Fresh, intense and elegant fruit and body, high acidity, balanced and long finish. 93

2007 Inniskillin Riesling Ice Wine;
Golden, intense of pineapples and apricots. Beautiful acidity, lively refreshing, mouthwatering. Very elegant texture and structure, long. 92

06 Icewine

2006 Jackson-Triggs, Okanagan Estate Riesling Icewine;
Pale golden, slightly flabby somehow on the nose, not too complex, peach and apricots, good acidity, refreshing in the mouth, good length. 82

Inniskillin, not for ageing

2005 Inniskillin Vidal Sparkling Icewine;
Sloght sparkel, deep golden, amber hue, apricots, honney, raspberries, strawberries and light touch of green tea. Barely sparkling, not much mosse to talk av, acidity almost gone, beautifull fruit, but lacks the freshness of the acidity, finish. 74


2003 Inniskillin Vidal Icewine;
Golden with amber hue, starting oxidation, dades, burnt caramel. Sweet, overripe apricots, veru sweet, lacks acidity again, it was so fresh a few years back, now it's just good. 68
