Served blind. Ruby, thin garnet rim. Highly scented, cassis, detailed, leather, tobacco, slightly starting prunes nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, lively, detailed, fairly rounded, detailed, long. 94
1998 Château Troplong Mondot
Served blind. Ruby, garnet rim. Scented, intense, slight alcohol note, vanilla still, spices, exotic, dark fruits, seemingly showy ripeness and alcohol. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lively, rich, a little bit all over the place now, but there is something quite exciting about it. 94

1975 Château Mouton Rothschild:
(Imperial) Bright ruby, garnet rim. Liquorice, leather, prunes
and figs and a slightly scented nose. Fresh acidity, ripe and few
tannins, savory, refreshing, quite nuanced and long finish. I've had
fruitier and more complex bottles of tjis, but a great experience even
so. Served at Mouton Rothschild, directly from the estate's cellar. 90
