1998 Bordeaux Right Bank Horisontal part V


1998 Vieux Château Certan;

Ruby, ruby rim, somewhat powerful nose, ripe, coffee, plums, vanilla and oak dust. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresher body than most, refreshing finish. 93

Splendid breast of duck


1998 Château Trotanoy;
Ruby, floral and perfumed, coffee below, dark fruits. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, structure feels somewhat unbalanced with itself, ripe finish. 89-90


1998 Château L'Evangile;
Ruby, ruby rim, sweet plums, vanilla, oak. Fresh acidity, leaner body, slightly rough texture, good length. Then comming back to it later on, way more elegant, more together, rougness has dissapeared, longer. 92


1998 Château L'Eglise Clinet;
Ruby, ruby rim. Tighter nose, floral, feels tight and closed. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresher, even slightly herbal hints and chocolate, mint, cherries and redcurrant's. Long length. 93+
