1947 and 1961 Borgogno
1961 Borgogno, Barolo Riserva;
Ruby with orange rim, lots of liquorice and leather, some dust and hay. Great structure, fresh acidity, and almos soursweet strawberries, long finish. More developed and less fruity than other bottles I have had. 89
1947 Borgogno, Barolo Riserva;
Amber with brick hue. Slightly oxidized, liquorice, some fruits behond, redcurrants, rose hips and truffles. Lean body, fantastic acidity, marvelous structure, fantastic and mature, hints of Madeira Sercial, fantastic length. Seductive for old wine lovers, but could be more complex. 92
