Bright pale ruby. Floral, scented, elegant and detailed nose, raspberries, layered. Violets. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, delicate, nuanced, refreshing, smooth texture, long. 91
2012 Armand Rousseau Charmes- Chambertin
Bright pale ruby. Gorgeous and sensual nose, not the most intense, violets, red berries, nuanced and detailed, flirting. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant and smooth, slight herbal note far back, refreshing red fruit, long. One of the more sensual of this one. 92
2012 Armand Rousseau Mazis-Chambertin
Bright ruby. Slightly spicy, red berries, almost a bit peppery, maybe some floral notes, detailed nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant, more structured, refreshing and lively, almost raspberries freshness, playful, very long. 93

10% new oak for the first time. Bright ruby. Red berries, some spices, some vanilla, blueberries and violets nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant and fruity, more texture and ever so slightly biting finish, long. 92

20% new oak. Bright ruby. Red berries, scented, elegant and nuanced if maybe slightly more rustic than the rest if you can call anything from Rousseau rustic. Some floral notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, leaner palate, refreshing, clean and detailed, to lean for some, lean but long finish. 91

80% new oak. Bright ruby. Vanilla, spices, red berries, tighter and fuller nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, rounder, red berries, refreshing, long finish. 94
2012 Armand Rousseau Chambertin Clos de Bèze
100% new oak. Bright ruby. Intense nose, black tea touch, bergamott, red berries, floral notes, layered and incredibly detailed, complex as few, superb nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant, detailed and nuanced, refreshing, fruity, detailed, structured but more fruit to back it up than in some vintages, impressive length. 97

100% new oak. Bright ruby. Floral, red berries, nuanced, detailed, layered, flirting, sensual nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, gorgeous texture and palate, rounded, has energy, lively, detailed, refreshing, superb palate, refined as few, extremelly long, magic in a bottle. 98
