Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, slight tropical note and ripe lemons nose, orange blossoms. Fresh acidity, fresh and fruity, quite lively, rounded, fuller bodied for Kabinett and fresh for the vintage, good length. 89

2010 L'Esprit de Chevalier
(2nd Dom. Chevalier) Pale lemon yellow. Grapefruit, minerals, almost flinty, citrus, fresh nose. Fresh acidity, citrus and minerals, bit spicy and some vanilla, fresh finish, fairly intense. 89

2007 Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino Annata
Brigjt ruby. Tight nose, some cherries, leather, faint floral notes but lacks intensity. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fairly detailed but could have more fruit and intensity. It was decanted for hours without much happening, long if lean finish. 90

2000 Marchesi di Gresy Barbaresco Martinenga Camp Gros
Deep ruby with broad brich rim and lots of sediments. Starting out with oxidative nose, later plums, figs and liquorice, some tar and roses. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, mature aromas, liquorice and prunes, stil fairly grippy texture but fruit seems to be fading, still long. Drink within two years if this bottle is correct. 91
