Ruby. Youthful, intense, dark and red berries nose, some vanilla, floral and detailed, nuanced, layered, and complex. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, perfect balance, again intense, incredibly nuanced, velvet texture, very long finish. 96
2000 Bouchard Pere et Fils La Romanée
Bright ruby, garnet rim. Fruity nose, red berries, vanilla, some sous bois and leather, elegant nose, evolving. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, slightly leaner palate, refreshing, could be more nuanced, long. 93
