Four from Clos de la Chapelle

2012 Clos de la Chapelle Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons
Bright ruby. Fruity, some red berries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, straightforward, bit short. 85

2012 Clos de la Chapelle Volnay 1er Cru En Carelle
Corked, a second bottle didn't impress much either.

2012 Clos de la Chapelle Volnay 1er Cru Clos de la Chapelle Monopole
Bright ruby. Leaner nose, coffee, toast and herbs. Seems to try to hard and some probably hail damaged berries gives an unpleasant herbal note, that together with excesive oak is just to much to handle for the fruit. 85

2012 Clos de la Chapelle Pommard 1er cru Les Chanlins Vieilles Vignes
Ruby. Fruity, darker notes nose, spices. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresher palate, more fruit to back but lacks finesse and complexity, again trying to hard. 86
