2008 Marchesi de Gresy Barbaresco Martinenga Camp Gros
Ruby. Rounded nose, scented, fruity, rich, tar and some roses, light alcohol note on top. Fresh and high acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, rich if leaner palate, fruity, bit alcoholic all the way, sweet dark berries finish, liquorice. 90
1986 Château Lynch Bages
Served blind. Ruby, thin garnet rim. Scented, cool nose, slightly exotic, some tobacco and cedar, leather, cassis, some more youthful aromas, other more developed ones. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins starting to polish off, slightly rustic structure, long if lean finish. 90
1993 Château La Mission Haut-Brion
Served blind. Ruby, garnet rim. Some cassis, leather, bit rustic, some coffee, bit alcohol on top. Leather, and spices, rich. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, bit hollow but fairly fresh drinking. 87
1988 Château Montrose
Ruby, thin garnet rim. Excellent cork and fill. Scented, bright red fruits, quite elegant fruit, detailed nose, more youthful and detailed than any bottles of this I've tasted. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, cool and fresh fruit, minerals, not the most complex but very fresh. Lovely. 91
2006 Daniel Rion Echezeaux
Bright ruby. Fresh red berries and somewhat scented, spices, fruity, cool fruit, elegant nose, fairly refined but youthful. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh and fruity, bit structured, oak is more integrated than in the former bottles, starting to come together nicely. Still a little bit rustic. 92
2011 Markus Molitor Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spätlese Feinherb
Pale lemon yellow. Very apples and light tropical fruit, some minerals, focused nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, apples and pears, fruity, bit lean finish, good length. 88
2011 Egon Müller Wiltinger braune Kupp Riesling Spätlese
Pale lemon yellow green. Apples, lime, cool fruits, fresh and lively, youthful nose. Fresh acidity, mouthwatering, lively, fruity, detailed, not the most complex but lively and crisp, clean, long. 90
1978 Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling QbA
Bright amber. Oxidized nose, some apples and pears, fresh acidity, drying, lean, not holding up anymore, and shouldn't thinking of the level if not the vineyard.
2006 Markus Molitor Weissburgunder trocken
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, fruity, minerals, bit rich, some peach and apricots. Fresh acidity, fruity, bit unbalanced, somewhat warm. 85
2007 Blain-Gagnard Bâtard-Montrachet
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, lemons, minerals, quite refined and detailed, very light butter and popcorn note, slight floral note, somewhat rich but still towards cool. Fresh acidity, lively, fresh, detailed, elegant and lively, nuanced, fairly mature fruit, but still cool, lively and fresh, long. 93
2009 Château La Tour Blanche
Pale golden. Peach, tropical, fruity, quite intense, vanilla, pears, apricots, nuanced. Fresh acidity, fruity, rounded and fresh, rich palate, quite intense palate, needs a bit of time to come together, long. 92
