Tasting notes

2004 Chateau Puech-Haut Saint Drezery Coteaux du Languedoc;
Ruby with pink rim, nice bouquet of mocca and dark berries, clean frutines but not jammy. Fresh with ripe tannins, good acidity, nice fruit intesnity, and a long finish. Cellar it another few years. 84


2005 Domaine de la Solitude;
Ruby, clean and elegant nose, some fruit, vanilla, blackcurrants, not very complex, but lovable. Nice acidity, mature tannins, clean fruitines, som liquorice and plums, with ok finish. 75


2004 Daniel Vollenweider Wolfer Goldgrube Riesling Spätlese;
Light straw yellow, clean apple and lemon with some minerals, nice mature fruit, no petroleum, hints of tropical and honny. Nice packed in acidity, elegantly balanced, fresh and fruit driven, good length. 84


1998 Chateau Poujeaux;
Ruby with thin garnet rim, seductive nose of liquorice, leather and some dried fruits, cassis and tobacco and behind it all, cedarwood. Elegant fruit, nice acidity and ripe tannins, a little dry towards the finish and long length. 84
