1994 Domaine de la Romanée Conti, Romanée-St-Vivant, Marey-Monge;
(bottle 09159 of 11485) A level fill, soaked cork, bright ruby, touch of orange hue on the rim. Some floral highnotes, sweet red berries, autumn leaves, still a touch of oak, very tender, a bit closed, quite youthfull still. Good acidity, medium ripe tannins, more of strawberries, mushrooms and animal touch with air, not too complex, but such an elegance, and such lively and fresh acidity, seems playfull, needed 30 minutes to start to open in the decanter, then very good for about 1 hours and 20 minutes, then more and more volatile.
