6 from Scarpa

2006 Scarpa Barbera d'Asti I Bricchi:
Ruby. Scented, blueberries, lovely nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, rounded and elegant palate, nuanced, good length. 87

2007 Scarpa Barbera d'Asti La Bogliona:
Ruby. Leather, anise and blackberries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, frui but a bit edgy at this stage. 88

2009 Scarpa Freisa Secco La Selva di Moirano:
Ruby. Raspberries, thyme and herbs. Fresh acidity, high of ripe tannins, good length. This rare grape variety is actuallyquite easy to find in this country. 86

2007 Scarpa Barbaresco Tettineive:
Ruby, garnet rim. Floral and scented over tar and roses. Freshish acidity, ripe tannins, feels a bit lazy for a Barbaresco, good length. 89

2006 Scarpa Barbaresco Tettineive:
Ruby. Scented, floral, layered, nuanced but also a bit sweet and ripe. Fresh acidity, high of ripe tannins, almost sweetish palate (14%) and that is normally not that noticable in Piemonte, long. 92

2008 Scarpa Rouchet Briccorosa:
Ruby. Scented, intense. Slightly floral, herbs and ripe redcurrants. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, a bit soapy, very scented. 86
