04 Cristal, 06 Conseillante, 03 LMHB, 06 Yquem and more

2004 Roederer Cristal:
Pale lemon yellow, tiny bubbles. Elegant nose, apples and minerals, nuanced and layered. Stunning acidity and mousse, the more I taste this, the more I love it. Superbly elegant and delicate texture, nuanced and layered, fine tuned, gorgeous length. Stretching to 95 on this one.

2008 Château Palmer:
Deep ruby. Violets, cassis, blackcurrants leaf, feels exotic for Palmer. Smooth palate, fresh acidity, more lively than last bottle, ripe tannins, very elegant texture. Hugely enjoyable, starting to flit. Long. 94

2006 Château La Conseillante:
Deep ruby. Blueberries, some vanilla, seductive even if pure youth. Conseillante have this "Burgundian" purity over it that even if completely different aromas should be a wine for most Burgundy lovers. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, mouthwatering, very fresh and still almost caressing, superb fruit, long. 95

2006 Château Langoa Barton:
Deep ruby. Needed a lot of air to open. Cassis, leather, vanilla and scented. Feels layered. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant palate but not quite there yet. 06 needs cellar time. 90

2005 Château Langoa Barton:
Deep ruby. Fuller and richer and fruitier nose than the 06. But also floral and mineral notes making it more refined and layered. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant and quite stylish palate, less opulent than the nose, long and mouthwatering finish. 93

2003 Château La Mission Haut-Brion:
Deep ruby, garnet rim. Somewhat floral over some prunes, cassis, minerals, vanilla and almost smoky notes. Scented with air. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant palate, mouthwatering and surprisingly fresh for 2003. Structure is calming down and finding itself, this is turning out lovely with enough air. Very long finish. 95

2006 Château d'Yquem:
Pale golden. Rich and intense nose. Apricots and pineapples, vanilla. Very pure nose. Fresh acidity, almost creamy texture, lemon mousse, very long. Pure. 94
