$175.000,- tasting!

It isn't the bottle prices in itself, even if none of them can be said to be on the cheap, with prices ranging from $ 175,- a bottle up to over $1000,-, that made this tasting so expensive, but it was the amount. About 70 bottles of each was poured and I'm pretty sure that was a record number of bottles opened and served and amount of same time drinkers (you never spit BA or TBA!) of Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese ever.

2010 St. Urbans- Hof Saarfeilser Riesling Beerenauslese:
This wine you will never taste, all of it has been drunk, all 150 halfbottles ever made! Pale golden. Apples, minerals, cinamon touch and subdued notes, tender. Floral notes, nuanced and refined, lovely indeed. Fresh acidity, lively, elegant, nuanced, subdued yet intense, refined and playful, transparent and mouthwatering. Stunning playfullness, gorgeous. Very long indeed. 96

2010 Dr. Bassermann- Jordan Deidesheimer Hohemorgen Riesling Beerenauslese:
400 bttls produced. Towards golden. Apples, apricots, canned pears, minerals, elegant and nuanced nose. Fresh acidity, ripe, lively, has a great acidity but very packed into the fruit and texture. Intense, long and sweet. 94

2011 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Goldlack:
Golden. Apples, pineapples, apricots, subdued minerals, elegant and refined nose, intense and fruity, incredible nose. Fresh acidity, refined, elegant, playful, intense, graceful, refreshing, perfect balance, just gorgeous. Very long. 96

2007 Gunderloch Nackenheim Rothenberg Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Goldkapsel:
Amber. Nuts, raisins, intense, deep, caramel and caramelized fruits nose. Fresh acidity, lively, almost smoky minerality, intense, roch, raisiny palate. Long finish. 95
