96 Lanessan, 01 Potensac and 06 GPL
1996 Château Lanessan:
Ruby, garnet rim. Cassis, leather and a touch of cedar on the nose. Layered. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, quite a vibrant and alive feel to it, quite elegant, maturing, good length. 88
2001 Château Potensac:
Almost a house wine. Ruby, scented, cassis, leather, starting figs, evolving nicely. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lively, refreshing and long. Slightly more evolved notes than two bottles in July. 90
2006 Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste:
Ruby. Scented, cassis, leather notes, floral and nuanced nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity and quite intense, loosing the 06 edge now, but still far to young. Wait four years or more. 92
