1950 Guiseppe Mascarello, Barolo; (Castiglione Falletto)
A level fill, cork not too bad, Bright, very light garnet, think sort of redcurrant lemonade. Floral, tar, roses, some coffee and a touch of earth, good acidity, tannins almost gone, lean body but quite elegant fruit, way beyond expectations, , coffee and truffles in the finish, more fruity after ten minutes, held well for an hour. 90
My father turns 60, his vintage!
