1971 Quintarelli Amarone, Riserva di Casa;
A level fill, bright ruby, thin orange rim, sweetish, cherries, spices, ripe red berries, almost touch of ale, again difficult to describe fully. Increadible acidity, pure, elegant, airy somehow, chocolate and mocca flashes over the tongue, some ripe tannins, clawing to the gums. What an extraordinary wine, airy like a great cake, intense as few, yet again light, almost fluffy, almost flying in the mouth, deffinitelly my best Amarone, by miles! 98
