Five Chablis Grand Crus from Laroche tasted


2011 Laroche Chablis Grand Cru Les Bouguerots:

Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals and vanilla nose. Fresh acidity, fatter style fruity palate, quite elegant texture, good length. 89

2011 Laroche Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, fruity and richer style nose, vanilla. Fresh acidity, fruity. A bit vanilla overshadowed, rich style. Long. 90

2011 Laroche Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos:
Pale lemon yellow. Vanilla, lemons, apples and minerals nose. Fresh acidity, fruity and refreshing, lively and long, a bit boring even so. 90

2011 Laroche Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots Réserve de l'Obédience:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, subdued feel to it, minerals and vanilla nose. Fresh acidity, lively and rounded, vanilla, elegant finish. 91

2006 Laroche Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos:
Pale golden. Apples, touch of nuts, spices and butter. Fresh acidity, fruity, rounded, good length. Maturing, drink before it gets to fat in my book. 89
