Pflüger tasting



2012 Pflüger Riesling Buntsandstein Trocken:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, slight citrus and some elegant minerals on the nose. Fresh acidity, quite elegant, refreshing, good length. 87

2012 Pflüger Dürkheim Riesling Trocken:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples, pear and almost salty mineral touch. Fresh acidity, leaner, lemony palate, some minerals beneath, good balance and length. 88

2012 Pflüger Herrenberg Riesling Trocken:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, pears and subdued minerals nose, touch of yeast. Fresh acidity, fruity, apply and quite elegant, good length. 88

2012 Pflüger Weissburgunder Quarzit Trocken:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, some yellow fruits and a faint mineral touch. Medium acidity, creamy texture, somewhat fruity, good length. 86

2012 Pflüger Friedelsheim Weissburgunder Trocken:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples and ripe lemon nose. Freshish acidity, fruity, some lemony notes, good length. 87

2011 Pflüger Cuvée Junge Reben:
Ruby. Some blueberries, cassis and a cooler feel on the nose. Fresh acidoty, ripe tannins, somewhat green and herbal and slightly stalky palate, oaky. 81

2011 Pflüger Cuvée Alte Reben:
Ruby. Some cassis, vanilla, scented but toast from barrels show through the fruit on the nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, oaky and drying on the palate, quite fine fruit ruined by to much oak. Good length. 85

2011 Pflüger Fronhof "R" Spätburgunder:
Ruby. Somewhat scented, vanilla and red berries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, leaner palate, a bit oaky but manages, this could come around in a few years, good length. 85
