85 Trotanoy, 86 La Tour Haut-Brion, 02 Trapet Latricieres-Chambertin and 96 Brovia barolo


2002 Trapet Latricieres-Chambertin:
Ruby. Red berries, scented, slight sous bois, delicate and nuanced nose, detailed, quite fruity nose, quite intense. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, rounded, some vanilla notes, ever so slightly herbal before longer and fruity finish, delicate, fairly rich Burgundy, long. 93

1996 Brovia Barolo:
Ruby, brick rim. Tar and roses, fruity, scented, anise and cherries nose. Fresh acidity, high of ripe tannins, anise, fruity, lots of liquorice, but a bit short. Leathery. 90

1986 Château La Tour Haut-Brion:
Ruby, thin garnet rim. Scented, leather, anise, cedar, floral, cassis, detailed, some minerals, lovely nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, lots of liquorice, fresh, figs, red berries, some plums, detailed, rounded, superb and long. 95

1985 Château Trotanoy:
Ruby, garnet rim. Scented, detailed, flirting, minerals, graphite even, nuanced, blueberries, tobacco, gorgeous nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, bit tight and somewhat lean, but refreshing and lively, long. 94
