Some mostly downs from Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne, Bâtard-Montrachet and more
2007 J.M. Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Sous le Puits:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, citrus, minerals, some oak, slightly flinty. Fresh acidity, rounded, fresh, vanilla, apples and ripe citrus, creamy finish. Long. 92
1986 Pol Roger Brut Chardonnay:
Pale golden, small bubbles. Brioche, oxidized apples, some vanilla, subdued minerals nose. Fresh acidity, rounded mousse, maturing, starting to let go of the freshness, very rounded, kind palate, good length. 89
1982 Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale:
Towards golden, tiny bubbles. Oxidized apples, minerals, toast, coffee touch, some nuts. Fresh acidity, nuanced mousse but dies off a bit, rounded, quite rich, but also leaner, slightly edgy finish, yeasty, long. 90
1998 Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet:
Golden with orange hue. Nuts, caramel and oxidized nose. Tired.
1995 Hospice de Beaune Chartron & Trebuche Meursault 1er Cru Charmes Cuvée de Bahèzre de Lanlay:
Golden. Apples, minerals, bit easy going nose, some oxidative notes and honey touch. Freshish acidity, rounded, flinty, minerals, richer, good length. 87
2004 Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche:
Pale golden. Some butter, nuts, minerals, slight floral note, bacon touch. Fresh acidity, tight, nuanced, flinty, slight tropical note, elegant if a bit short. 89
