2003 Chateau Haut Bailly;
Deep ruby, ruby rim. A bit closed, some mint and dark berries, great structure, fresh acidity actually, ripe tannins and lots of them. More cigars, blackberries, cassis and leather with air, long finish. 90
1996 Trimbach Riesling Clos St. Hune;
(Demi) Pale golden, honney, apricots, hints of petroleum, pear, slight minerality and lemon. Massive acidity, this is one of the wines where you start to wonder if it's actually too much acidity for the fruit, it's massive in it's freshness, and still very young. Keep ten years. 90
