Two beauties from the sixties at the Private Diploma tasting

1966 Leroy Grands Echezeaux;
Pale garnet, light orange rim. Plums, some prunes, figs, strawberries and strawberry jam, hints of spices and some more minerals. Complex, very elegant, great balance, fresh acidity, tannins gone, and finishes of with a unbelieveable long finish. Fantastic bottle. 97 (Thanks to Arne)

1963 Fonseca Vintage Port;
Bright brick, thin orange rim, extremelly complex, some dark fruits, prunes and figs, leather, coffee, hints of chocolate, fantastic balance, intence yet elegant, very long finish, a beauty of a Port. Fantastic now, I would not keep it. 96 (Thanks to Michael)
