Pale straw yellow. Yellow fruits, minerals and touch of beeswax. Fresh acidity, elegant and refreshing, lovely balance, good length. 89

1996 Legras Saint Vincent:

Pale golden, tiny bubbles. Some apples, yeast, just starting maturity, slightly floral and yellow fruits. Fresh acidity, elegant mousse, fruity, mineralic backbone, lovely balance, long and elegant. Tighter than last bottle. Slight bitter touch. Excellent with Norwegian wild mountain trout on the grill. 93+

2000 Vega Sicilia Valbuena:

Ruby, thin garnet rim. Scented, peppery blueberries, liquorice, floral, quite seductive even if on the rich side on the nose. Earthy notes, almost mineraly. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fleshy and fruity, still elegant, layered and quite refined. A lovely Valbuena, fruity and long. This can be kept another fifteen years plus. 93

1989 Vega Sicilia Unico:

In neck fill. Ruby, thin garnet rim. Floral, mushrooms, some blueberries, leather, anise, layered, nuanced and elegant nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lively, elegant, nuanced and refreshing palate, lovely balance. Fairly intense flavours but not overwhelming, long finish. 95

2001 Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque:

Ruby, thin garnet rim. Very fruity and pepery first, needed two hours in decanter to show what it's made off. Recurrants, blackberries, fine white pepper, scented, lavendel, the nose goes on and on. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, beautiful texture and very elegant structure, lovely balance, long and refined.  But could easily be longer after that nose and palate. 93

2003 Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhof Riesling Auslese Nr 18:

Pale golden colour. Quite intense apples aromas, subdued minerals, aprictots, pure and unripe pineapples on the nose. Fresh acidity for 03, fairly lively, fruity, elegant body and texture, fruity, good length. 88

Pale lemon yellow. Apples, apples blossoms and citrus blossoms over elegant minerality on the nose. Fresh acidity, lively and elegant, refreshing beyond, almost transparent, not quite together but my how playful. Long. 94
