1999 Château Beauregard:
Deep ruby, thin garnet rim, lots of sediments. Intense coffee
nose, dark berries behind, prunes and a quite dense nose that opened up a
bit later on. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity and a bit of a ball
right now, has evolved aromas but also some very youthful fruitfull
ones, a bit of a rollercoaster right now, wait five years or decant
thoroughly (two hours or so) now. 90+
2001 Clos du Marquis:
Deep ruby. Cassis, scented and some floral notes, layered and
complex nose, smells fantastic at this stage. Fresh acidity, ripe
tannins, lively and youthful fruity, elegant and quite refined,
refreshing and long. Excellent with T-bone steak grilled on the vines.
