Chablis tasting, mostly 2011's


2011 Domaine Savary Petit Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples and a touch of citrus fruit on the nose. Fresh acidity, lean and fairly forward, good length. 82

2011 Domaine Millet Petit Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples and a touch of minerals on the nose. Fresh acidity, quite lively, easy going, good length. 83

2011 William Fèvre Petit Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some minerals, almost smoky and yellow apples on the nose. Asparagus touch. Fresh avidity, easy going, fruity, leaner finish. 81

2011 Alain & Cyril Gautheron Petit Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples and yellow fruits on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, somewhat fuller body, good length. 82

2011 Louis Moreau Petit Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples and a touch floral , slight exotic touch like coconuts. Fresh acidity, fruity, apply, quite refreshing, good length. 83

2011 Bernard Defaix Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, lemons, lime and minerals on the nose. Fresh avidity, fruity, leanish body, good length. 84

2011 Domaine de la Cornasse Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples and slightly floral nose. Fresh acidity, leaner style, easy going. 82

2011 Jean-Claude Courtault Chablis:
Pale lemon uellow. Some apples, touch of asparagues and minerals. Fresh avidity, fruity, fairly lively, good length. 84

2011 Christophe & Fils Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some tropical notes and yellow apples on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, easy going, good length. 83

2011 Daniel Dampt & Fils Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples and touch of ripe lemons on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, towards lively, nice balance, god length. 85

2011 Isabelle & Denis Pommier Chablis:
Pale lemon yellow. Some apples, touch of minerals on the nose. Scented touch. Fresh acidity, fruity, fairly lively, minerals and lemony finish. 85

2011 La Chablisienne Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy:
Pale lemon uellow. Some apples, minerals, lemon zest and a floral touch on the nose. Fresh acidity, lively and nuanced, smoky notes, slightly biting finish. Almost creamy. 88

2011 Domaine Pinson Chablis 1er Cru La Forêt:
Pale lemon yellow. Some minerals, light smoky touch and apples on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, mineralic backbone, quite mineraly finish, long. 90

2011 Alain Geoffroy Chablis 1er Cru Vau Ligneau:
Pale lemon uellow. Yellow fruits, subdued minerals and apples on the nose. Freshish acidity, fruity and rounded with some minerals below, good length. 88

2011 Alain Geoffroy Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume:
Pale lemon yellow. Yellow fruits, sunbued minerals on the nose. Freshish acidity, fruity, rounded, nice balance, ever so slightly boring even if well made. 88

2011 Nathalie & Gilles Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, some minerals, slightly fatter nose. Spices. Fresh acidity, fruity, fairly easy going, good length. 87

2011 La Meulière Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, leaner minerals, a little bit tight nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, lively, somewhat nuanced, good length. 88

2011 William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu:
Pale lemon uellow. Apples, some minerals and a slight smoky touch on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity but sulphur seems to show a bit to well on this one for a proper rating. With more air it loosened up showing lemony, grapefruit and minerals, good length. 88ish

2011 Jean-Paul & Benoit Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, some minerals and spicy wood on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, oaky high notes, good length. 87

2010 Long-Depaquit Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésirs:
Towards lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, fruity, yellow plums and vanilla. Fresh acidity, fruity, quite refreshing, elegant texture, fairly nuanced. Long. 90

2010 Long-Depaquit Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos:
Towards lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, slightly floral touch, some butter on the nose. Complex and somewhat compact. Fresh acidity, fruity and quite lively, elegant body and texture, slight acidity nerve going through the tasting curve, long. 92

2010 Garnier & Fils Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos:
Towards lemon yellow. Ripe, yellow fruits, grapefruit, oxidized apples and barrel notes. Fresh acidity, barrel notes and spices up front, fruity. 89
