4 Cabs and one sweet Napa

2005 Chappellet Pritchard Hill Estate Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon;
Dark ruby, good fruit, some blackcurrants, ok acidity and good length, but it does not thrill me in any way, a bit boring really......still a very good wine by any means. 89

1999 Chateau Montelena, The Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon;
Dark ruby, garnet rim, tender, elegant nose, very complex and subtle, blackcurrants and cigars, hints of chocolate, good acidity, good fruit intencity and ripe tannins. 91

1997 Chateau St.Jean Sonoma County Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon;
Dark ruby, lots of oak still, some sweetish fruit, ok acidity, good in it's style, but not for me. 86

2004 Diamond Creek, Red Rock Terrace Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon;
Deep ruby, nice nose, slightly mineral, some floral notes, vanilla, very elegant, but could have had a little more acidity and freshness, ripe tannins and ok length, therefore 88.

2004 Dolce Late Harvest Napa Valley;
Golden yellow, vanilla and botrytis over apricots and pineapples. Supricingly lean body, acidity needs to be higher with this sugar level, nice fresh fruits, slightly monotone. 82
