8 Burgundies tasted

2009 FD ClairSaint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des dents de chien:
BU9579501 (325,-) Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals and almost flinty nose. Fresh acidity, rich and feels a bit oaky for Saint-Aubin, needs time, good length. 87

2010 FD Clair Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne:
BU9579601 (469,90) Pale lemon yellow. Very apply nose and somewhat shut. Some lemons and minerals behind. Fresh acidity, playful, ripe, focused, lovely palate, but a bit short. 89

2009 Sebastien Magnien Meursault Les Meix Chavaux:
BU9552401 (339,90) Pale lemon yellow. Flinty minerals with some apples and lime behind. Fresh acidity, rich fruit, and lovely finish. 90

2007 Sebastien Magnien Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru:
N/A Towards lemon yellow. Lemons and minerals on the nose. Fat and typically Batard. Fresh acidity, focused, tight now, needs air. Very refreshing, layered and long finish. 93+

2009 CC Maréchal Pommard La Chaniére:
BU9580501 (389,90) Bright ruby. Very strawberry nose. Pure feel. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruit-driven for Pommard, and again that very pure feel to it. Very long. 90

2009 CC Maréchal Volnay:
BU9580601 (379,90) Bright ruby. Fruit-driven nose of fresh strawberries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant fruit, mouthwatering and long finish. 90

2009 Marc Roy Gevrey-Chambertin Vielles Vignes:
BU9579701 (439,90) Ruby. Strawberries and barrel notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, sweet, ripe and pure with the oak a bit up front. From my experience with this producer, its honed off in two- three years time, so put them in the cellar if you feel its too much. They also benefit greatly from decanting. 89

2009 Marc Roy Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur:
BU9579801 (489,90) Ruby. Vanilla overshadowing fine strawberries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, lovely fruit intensity, yet again, needs time to settle, and it will. Long. 90
