Four fine Bordeaux' from Fonberg

2007 Château Potensac:
Ruby. Blueberries, cassis, vanilla, elegant nose, some herbs typical of the vintage. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant and quite fruit-driven 07. 88

2006 Goulée:
Deep ruby. Compact, fruit-driven cassis. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, the 06 roughness still there, needs a few years. Cos d'Estournel project in northern Médoc (Port de Goulée) 88

2008 Château Laroque:
(Magnum) Deep ruby. Rich nose, elegant, blueberries and coffee. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant and probably one of the best efforts from Laroque, lacking the austerity that sometimes have been to up front. Yet not too rich and alcoholic. 89

2007 Château Beau Sejour-Bécot:
Deep ruby. Scented, rich and fruity nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, quite lively, drinking very well now. Fresh finish. Many Saint-Emilions in 07 are very fresh and elegant at this stage. 91
